Pink cafés in seoul

Oh my Seoul!

Sitting at Zapangi Café in Mangwondong

I love a café and I love it even more when it’s pink! Luckily Seoul is a hub of cafés and I spent a week in May hunting down the most glorious ones.

Listed below is ArtiZaan’s top three pink cafés.

Zapangi

Zapangi is most likely one of the most photographed cafés in the whole of Seoul. And what makes it stand out? The café is famous for its epic front door that looks like a pink vending machine. Add their Cake in a Tin and you are in coffee shop heaven!

Just make sure to arrive early to avoid a long wait as locals and visitors hawk the vending machine to take the perfect Instagram picture.

What I had: Mermaid Tin Cake

Next time: Next time I’ll take a pick off the speciality drinks menu and order the Sakura Latté.

Metro exit: Zapangi is practically a straight walk from Mangwondong Station Exit 2

Address: 400-2 Mangwon-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul

Stylenanda Pink Pool Café

Stylenanda Pink Pool Café has two locations in Seoul - The bigger café with the velvety pink chairs is located in Hongdae and the smaller café is situated in Myeong-dong on the fifth floor of the Stylenanda Pink Hotel. Both locations are amazing, but I’d definitely recommend you visit the bigger one in Hongdae.

What I had: Cotton Candy Cappuccino

Next time: Next time I’ll opt for the Cotton Candy Ice Cream AND the Pandoro!

Metro exit: The nearest metro exit to Stylenanda Pink Hotel is Myeongdong (take exit 6) and the nearest metro exit to the Stylenanda Pink Pool Café in Hongdae, is the Hongik University Station, exit 8.

Arriate

Another pretty pink café is Arriate which is located in the heart of the Hongik University District. The door of the café is framed with a beautiful flower facade, which makes it feel like spring even during the winter months. As you enter and take the stairs, a wonderful flower shop / café awaits on the inside. With dried flowers hanging from the roof, it feels nothing short of flower heaven.

What I had: A Raspberry Mojito (which comes in a big jug)

Next time: The mojito was both presented beautifully and it tasted delicious so next time I’ll order another flavour - Maybe the rose mojito

Metro exit: Hongik University Station exit 9

Address: 164-30 Donggyo-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul

There are many more beautiful cafés in Seoul and these are only a number of them that impressed me. Have you been to Seoul? What is your favourite café?
